How to Set Style to enable full spanning of Forum Width

Hi there,

I have a question on how to set my styles so that my forums spans the entire width of the window, yet not use a fixed pixel width.

I'm trying to do something like this:

http://forums.clubsnap.org

As you can see, there is NO space between the forum table and the edge of the page.

The normal settings, even when set to 100% width, still has an edge:

see http://www.offstone.com/photo/ for an example (notice the gray edge border around the tables?

The question is, how do I set my width so that it looks like the one in forums.clubsnap.org?

Thanks!

Its easy -

Style Manager > All Style Options > Main Table Width (pixels or percentage) ---- Make that 100%

I've already set it to 100%. Even at 100% the max is as shown in the offstone forums. If you click on the clubsnap forums link above, you'll notice that it is "wider" than even the maximum 100% that you can set. That is the difficult part - how to get more than 100%

Could you give some screenshots?

Ok here's the screen shot from clubsnap:

As you can see, the width is all the way to the edge, and there's no gray border around it.

And here's the 100% width from offstone.

As you can see, the white part stops short of the edge, and there is a gray border around it

Try ammending the margin settings on the page CSS attribute thus;

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > select style you wish to ammend > All Style Options > Go button > Look for Body (Customized in this Style) > Extra CSS Attributes > ammend the margin to margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;

That should do the trick...;)

Ah thanks a lot that works!

Just another question, now that I've gotten the sides to max width, the only thing left is the top (next to the vbulletin logo area) and bottom (where the words "Powered by Vbulletin etc appears) which is gray in color. Possible to make these white as well?

Try ammending the margin settings on the page CSS attribute thus;

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > select style you wish to ammend > All Style Options > Go button > Look for Body (Customized in this Style) > Extra CSS Attributes > ammend the margin to margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;

That should do the trick...;)

Hmm, pardon the newbieness, but where's the spacer size setting? So setting this spacer size to 0 will make the top and bottom white as well?

Make sure your spacer size is 0...!!

Almost the same place as before... except look for Sizes and Dimensions and the spacer size is in that group.
