I recently stumbled upon this site and have already found it to be an excellent resource. I figured I would put my site up to be reviewed hoping to hear some fresh ideas.

TIA

To many ads at the top... At first I thought it was just a splash page filled with ads :/.

The blue background isn't my favourite and overall it seems a bit bland...

God I hate being negative as I hate it when people are negative about my forums/sites, but I suppose it's better being honest.

I appreciate your honesty. I was hoping for more than one critique in a month and a half though;)

Dont know how your post escaped unnoticed! My apologies for that.

Here are my thoughts... And please take them as my attempt to be helpful, not ctiricisms.

First - Your header is WAYYYY to big. Readers have to scroll down alot before they get to content. Same with your Footer. I have a 21 in monitor with 1280 res and your header pretty much fills MY screen.

What you might want to do, is put a right hand siderbar in for your ads (like I have on http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/forum.php ) -- you can also charge more for your ads cause they are visible with every pageview.

You have ALOT of forums - but you also have alot of traffic. You might consider breaking the site into 2, 3 or even 4 seperate sites (Heavily interlinked). I havent looked close enough to see how feasible that would work, but its possible and would bring the forums more into focus. You can also sell more ads this way, and offer ad packages. This also should help with SEO since you would have several sites being spidered and drawing traffic.

You might also look into some new graphics / colors. PM KitKramer here - he does graphics and is pretty good, and pretty reasonable with prices.

As far as SEO - you only have about 1 out of every 10 pages indexed in google. You also have only 44 links to your site according to Google. I would suggest you sign up for the COOP Ad Network (http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/?s=492) which is free. That will help you target particular keyword phrases and rank highly for them.

You might also want to read: How to SEO your vBulletin Forum (http://www.vbwebmaster.com/forums/showthread.php?t=615) and make those changes.

If you ever decide to sell your site, let me know!
