Hi,
I wasn't very satisfied with my current host. After reading the forums here I decided to host my vB at ASO (I entered lincolnvscadillac.com as my referer, thanks Joey). How do I move my vB to ASO? I have backed up my databases. Thanks.
Cheers,
Jin

just email their support at help@asmallorange.com they'll help you out with the move.

If your database is not too large, back it up with phpmyadmin in the export tab. Then on the new account, create a database in cpanel of the same name and select the sql tab in phpmyadmin and then run from file.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. My old host is not cpanel based. So ASO can only help me restore the database.
I downloaded all my files, backed up my database using vB's maintenance option since my database is small, then uploaded all files to ASO server. I sent them an email and the db is restored in no time. ASO's support is superb. Their response time is less than 5 min! The server I am on has 0.6 server load while my host host is 3.5. I love ASO!
Thanks Joey for creating this great forum. I have never heard of ASO before although I read webhostingtalk regularly. I never thought of searching for web host in the vbulletin.com board, so I had no idea where to host vB. This forum is nicely organized and informative. I can't thank you guys enough.
I hope ASO is the last host I need.
Have a great day!

Many of us here are with ASO... they are very good and I intend to stay with them for a good while yet.
