Lies about 15min support time, every support ticked i've ever submitted has gone well past hours at a time

Horrible server loads lately.

After last night and the account migration that seems to have went horriibly wrong, no web site for me or my members to play with today, no answers by email or anything this has pushed us over the edge, they've had outages with the mail servers and some other small annoying things that have finally cause us to leave. Overall experiance with thgem i give a 1 outta 100 for everything.

Did you post this in the "Rate your host" section? If not, please do.

Yea i'm pretty sure i posted this in the Rate your host section.

13hours later i finally got sql back from them and half my control panel still does not work nor do my stats but i'm not gonna complain about that as my site for the most part works :grumble:

I was going to go with ASO when we switched hosts, but there was all this fuss floating around about them using theplanet.com or something like that and made me change to my second choice. But now here shortly ASO is probably gonna be my new best friend

ASO seems pretty sound, however, a few forums I maintain for people are on ASO servers and they dont have the best service track record.....I recomended they all go to a VPS from either them or Powervps...

ASO has had troubles on occasion with newer servers. But once the initial settling in takes place, the servers run pretty smooth, shared and VPS.

But when there is a problem, ASO techs are ON IT. Want to know how great ASO is? Ask Noppid. He has a good story. I can tell you though, the VPS (Virtual Private Servers) rock! I house all my sites on one VPS - that includes 4 VBulletin forums!

I will give them that, they do a good job to rectify problems...been having a hell of a time on one account...

I think I have about 24 sites on my VPS. Powervps.com...Its top notch.

Ive heard some bad things about powervps - which is what kept me away from them. ASO has been so good to me that I limped along on a shared for about 2 months longer then I should jsut waiting for their VPS to come out.

I have NEVER had one problem, 0 unexpected downtime, they email me before schedualed downtimes, and have only been down a total of I guess 35-50 min over all of my time with them on ANY account or the servers for mainenence. I recomend all of my customers to them if I cant accomidate them.

I've been with PowerVPS since I ditched my shared hosting. Absolutely 0 problems, I like them so much that I just ordered a 2nd VPS. Tech Support is awesome, the price is right, the speed is great. Not a single problem with them so far, they've even put up with me doing dumb things (like locking myself out of my own VPS) without a comment.

Joey - what sort of bad things did you hear about PowerVPS?

I've been with PowerVPS for a few months now and haven't had any problems. I have the Webmin package since it was cheaper, and I'm familiar with Webmin. The account was setup within a day, they called me to let me know it was setup and said if I needed anything to let them know. If there's any downtime, I get an email about a week or so in advance and they tell me exactly what they're doing and how long it should be down.

I don't think I'll ever pick a different VPS host again!

If you would like a few comments on that Mikel, just let me know :D

I dont remember what bad things I heard. I was looking around various forums looking for information about VPS and jsut remember a few bad things and it triggered because Iknew you were with them. ASO's prices came down to about the same as powervps.

Nope, there's no need for that!

(I've actually done this twice... On two different VPSs. You'd think I would've learned after the first one, right? Nah...)

I've been singing the praise of siteground.com for awhile now. They have without a doubt the best customer service response time I've ever witnessed,

a friend of mine has been on site5 for 4 months running a major support site for yahoo groups. Gets around 1k peep traffic simulataneously. He has redline plan(which is discontinued now) of site5 and has been real happy till now. I think he was lucky to get a server thats not that crowded and his server load has always been low.

I myself was on site5 for 4 months on horsepower and found the support real good actually. The only prob was php-CGI they run which prevented at the start some scripts likke vbseo from running.

Moved to aso and well had a terrible server load prob. Ok maybe my site was heavy, i agree to that (100 users+ online with some big hacks) but still aso just asked me to move to 512VPS plan. I can't comment on aso, but i did see that the loads were high(they say cos of my site :D ) but the same site was ok on site5 so i dunno.

Now on powervps and it looks grt but me there for just 7 days so harrdly a time to judge any hosting.
