Custom VB skinkanadian 09-05-2005, 08:23 AM Hi there, Looking for a custom VB skin. If interested, please pm with quote and portfolio. theMusicMan 09-05-2005, 09:01 AM I'm assuming you have a fair amount of cash available to pay any developer if you are after a fully customised vB Style developed for your forum. It takes a lot of effrort to produce the graphics and to code it for vB. You could always take a commercial style and ammend that to your liking. Cheaper and probably quicker too. Anyway, good luck with what you do. kanadian 09-05-2005, 09:25 AM Let's say you post saying "looking for a team to paint my house" would it be a great benefit to you if I replied saying: "I hope you have some money in the bank, it costs money to have your house painted, maybe you should find some students" You don't know me. What in the name of hell made you think I didn't have money and/or was expecting this to be free or cheap? Why stomp on my thread like that at all. Thanks for being concerned about my financial well being. I have a salaried job @ $57,500/year and my wife makes about $42,000 and we're D.I.N.K.s (dual income, no kids) On top of that, I average 2-3 thousand a month playing poker. On top of that, I have a site which also is generating income for me...a few actually. Of course, if you knew this, you likely wouldn't have made your post which was vailed in ignorance with the indication that I either lack funds or am expecting something for nothing in return. I read your post over a few times to make totally sure I wasn't misunderstanding you before posting this, this will be my last visit to this forum, so there really isn't a need to reply either anymore. There is no secret that my first post also lead to a big fuss and I don't think I'm stretching too far if I were to say that the tone of your reply carried over from that previous thread...if I'm right, then you're biased on my intentions which is why I asked for it to be deleted...which of course was refused. That is the exact reason why I can't return to this forum any longer. No, go ahead and proceed with saying I'm massively over-reacting to this and that I need to grow up and learn to take advice. Ignorance is bliss. theMusicMan 09-05-2005, 11:11 AM Eeeek.... woah there matey... I think you have got the wrong end of the stick here. I was merely pointing out that it costs good money for a good customised style for your site that's all. I don't think I jumped on you at all to be honest. However, as I didn't mean to offend you in the way that I obviously have; I have no issue in apologising to you that I have done so. But I will say that you indeed are massively over-reacting to this which is perhaps indicative that you are not familiar in dealing with people on forums, otherwise you'd simply not have reacted in this manner. Noppid 09-05-2005, 12:21 PM Ignore him John. In another thread he's looking for charity web development. Go figure! Joeychgo 09-05-2005, 06:23 PM He overreacted before when he offered to be 50/50 partners for some worthless domains he owns. He wanted someone to do all the work and he wanted 50% of the profits just because he owns a domain name like vbulletinforums.com When several of us tried to point out he wouldnt have much luck finding someone who had a clue because what he was offering was incredibility unfair, he overreacted also. Its a shame. I bet he's a nice guy who just knows a little less then he thinks he knows. AnthonyCea 09-05-2005, 10:29 PM If it is his last visit here he has done the forum a great favor, this guy is a hot head and really does not know how to deal with people. http://www.vbwebmaster.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1187 (MusicMan he must have thought you were me) He could have the best forum in the world, but with his temper he would have no members to discuss anything with, so don't waste time discussing anything with him. I wasted time yesterday trying to tell him to cool down and simply discuss things here on VBW, but this guy is a slow learner and takes everything personally. Joey, please remove his user name so we don't have to go through this anymore with this guy!!! | |
