Has anyone else notices anything with their Google PR recently...? Mine has gone from PR5 to n/a and I spotted yesterday that it was showing PR3???

Anyone know what's going on here?

Google is undergoing several changes both in algorythm and other things. It'll take a few days to settle down. Which site are you concerned about?

What is the name of the site John... as Joeychgo said google is doing PR now-a-days so might take a day or two to see the exact PR.

Yeah, and I used to be PR5...!!! Nothing changed or removed which would lessen the PR rating that I know of. So, any ideas as to what's happened?

It is not yet known exactly what this update is about. Note that I said "is" and not "was". According to Matt Cutts (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/more-weather-reporting/), this is phase 1 of a 2 or 3 phase update:

a new binary is also wending it’s way from data centers like 66.102.7.x. And I wouldn’t be surprised if a second stage of the index rolls out around this time next week. I also wouldn’t be surprised if a third stage of the index rolls out the week after that. I just wanted to let people know that there’s still flux to come.
There are still a number of people posting about anomalies in current search results and no real conclusions about what it's all about.

Of course, it may well mean that your PR really has dropped for that page, too. Two things:

1. As the number of pages in the Google index increases, which is happening all the time, your PR can drop with no changes on that page at all - it's not a penalty but more like a change in what a particular PR value means relative to all the other pages in the index. Generally, this means that attaining any specific PR value becomes more difficult -- getting a PR4 may be as difficult today as getting a PR5 a year ago. Thus, one of my sites made it to PR6 in mid-2004. In a later PR update (Toolbar PR update), it fell to PR5 despite increased backlinks and content and has remiained there ever since. One way to interpret that is that the PR5 now is equivalent to a PR6 from mid-2004.

2. Leaving all that aside for a moment, the value of the backlinks to your page, which is of course what determines PR value, is also flunctuating. Some of those links that previously may have been PR4 or 5 or 6 may now have dropped to 2 or 3 or 4. As that happens, you'll see a drop on your page in the next Toolbar PR update.

Note that both of these things can and do happen with absolutely no changes to your page.

I have gone from PR 0 - 3 according to some PR checkers.
Remained at 0, or even 2 at others O_o

I am trying my best to ignore this latest shuffle by google. There are tons of opinions from many different "experts", but in reality nobody seems to understand the logic, or lack thereof.

My site has taken a severe hit on google, while movin up at yahoo and MSN during that same time.

I do know a few things:

1. the update is not yet finished
2. Matt Cutts in his blog told us to expect three phases
3. the first phase rolled out significant changes that affected certain web sites greatly and others either less so or not at all across all the datacenters
4. the second phase affected only a couple of data centers and in some cases looked like a rollback
5. currently, other changes are occurring on a couple of different data centers - whether this is phase three or phase two still continuing is uncertain
6. we will probably not know what this is about until it is finished and the dust settles - until then, whether the changes are good or bad for an individual website my inclination is to view them as temporary or unstable for now
