There are a few available for 3.5, which one is the best and integrates with the members names?
My users have voted for a chat room addition and I want to make sure and get the best one.

I prefer FLASHCHAT (http://www.tufat.com/script2.htm).
It runs smooth, is easy to install, easy to use. There is built in intergration. It costs $5 I think.
You can see it run on on www.lincolnvscadillac.com

are visitors not able to get into flashchat, or do you just have that turned off?

I have flashchat installed, seems to be a positive addition. Now I just need to get the link added to may navigation bar on the forum.

I had Flashchat installed and I loved it. Had 43 people in there at one time and I didn't experience any problems.
However many members did report problems of severe lagging, getting randomly kicked out, etc. It became so bad that I had to discard it. I'm now using an integrated IRC chat and working on creating a "Who's in Chat" function for it.

I never experienced those issues. Works great for me.

RealChat is best, but in terms of affordable options, Flash Chat is the best. Apparently its not condusive to more than 60 or so people using it at once. So if you'd have that kind of traffic, best to use an irc channel.

My problems with Flashchat wasn't dependent on the number of people there - it would lag for some and not for others whether there were 4 or 40. I really, really liked it though and would have stuck with it, except people were getting frustrated and migrating to an IRC channel.
I tried troubleshooting the members - making sure they had the lastest Flash, etc., but nothing seemed to work.
interesting... has anyone else had flashchat run say 50+ people without any problems?
