Please Help

A couple of days back, about 10 people registered on my website and spammed it, what they did was this. Spam every topic negative rated every topic private messeges all my members with spam and advertised there's.

I banned there I.P addresses and there Email addresses, they cannot come back now, thanks god. If it happens again, what do you think I should do - thankyou.

I usually just put them on tachy goes to conventry... Then they can spam all they want :)

guess I better note that down when I am going to make my own forum, that is going to be a very big problem when it happens considering the fact that I am not good at programming and whatever way to block these kind of spammers...

This is a really shame and to be honest there isn't much that you can do to stop this sort of thing from happening, you just have to deal with it when it happens. The tachy goes to conventry is a great feature because they don't know that no one else can see there posts and stops them from registering again or trying to access your forum via a proxy!

Being a newbie, I don't understand fully , the 'tachy goes to conventry'. How does that work?
