How do all you forum masters feel about that? I run an ecommerce site and was ripped by the warez'ers recently and have decided to implement proxy ip bans recently as part of a security revamp...good idea or bad?

If they order from work it can be an issue -- as some businesses operate behind a proxy IP.

IPs can change so easily. Just log in from aol and your around the IP Ban

I wouldn't use them if only for the fact that there is no comprehensive proxy blocker. Rather, it would only block a few open proxies. And any decent troll can just waltz right on to your forum with an unlisted proxy.
