Website Monitoring

Not sure if this is the best place for this question but if you don't keep your site up then you won't keep it active.

I'm looking for a website monitoring that will notify me via email (to my phone) when my site is down. I see several websites out there that have this service but would like to here anyones experience.

Also looking for one that has decent reporting as well as controllable thresholds for alerting.

I seen this on a site, so I checked it out and put it on my site.. I wanted to know if my sites where down while I wasn't at the PC
it doesn't email me, at least I don't think it does, so far my sites haven't been down..
but the URL is upPanel.com

There are quite a few out there which will do this, but unfortunately the free ones typically only check every 30 or 60 minutes...because of that, I can't say that I have any suggestions, but would love to hear if anybody else does. I've always wanted a free uptime tracker which checks in intervals less than 30 min...never found one :(

I'm on the look out for one too, what usually happens with my website is a particular service goes down rather than the whole website. Is there anything I can use to monitor that?

I dont know about one that monitors specific services, but I did want to say that somebody suggested that I try http://host-tracker.com - They offer free tracking and will check very often
