Setting up welcome emails & Pop up new PM Message Indicator?

Two quick questions. I dont know even know what to call it. But when I log into this site, if I have a new PM, I get a pop-up message telling me about it. How can I add that to my site?

Also, is there a way to edit the "welcome" message someone gets when they sign up for the board?

not sure about the welcome message... but the pop up for the PM is a built in vBulletin feature, and each user controls this. Go into your usercp and check it under edit options, I think

found it... and just activated the pop up notification. still looking for a way to edit the "welcome" message
