I use to have my ADMIN/MODS room hiddin where only The ADMINS & MODS could see it, listed when ever theres a new post in there..:o
But after the upgrade to 3.5.1 its now shows up for anyone to see EVEN GUEST!!

Now they cant get into it but they see that its there & see the Title of the newest post & when holding your cursor over the title get to read the fist sentence or so.
So I'm forced to start with a false 1st post..

Like under the subject type in blank & then in the box type Bla Bla Bla & send it so that I can post my real purpose of the post in my 2nd post...

Now thats NOT Good!!!:(

How can I have it again where only the people that are suppose to see it see it..

you should upgrade to 3.5.3

at any rate, I've never used 3.5.1, but I did use 3.5.2 and hiding a forum was done with the forum permissions, just as 3.5.3 is.

Its just that sometimes until the up-grades prove them selves it hard to just go for it & Up-Grade..:o

AdminCp -> Usergroup Manger -> Edit Forum Permissions

I have Four Private areas and they are set up by creating a User Group for each one and then only giving permissions to those people that you want to see it

Did you check your forum permissions or quick permissions, to make sure that, somehow, they got set so that NOONE can post there? I've had that happen for some unknown reason
