Hello,
I am going to be adding a few reciprocal links on a page on my website. Where should I draw the line of outbound links from this page. 5-10-15-100? Will having alot of outbound links reduce the value of this pr5 page on the next pr update?

In my opinion 10-15 or less outbound links is good. If you have a high number of links on a page [maybe 50+] google and other engines may be uncertain of what this pages topic with all the links is really all about (are they relevant to this pages topic).
When and if you exchange links with other sites check out the page your link is being placed on. Ideally want that page to contain as few outbound links as possible. Again 10-15 or less outbound links is good. Don't accept an exchange where the other site will place your link on a page with 100 outbound links because the value of each link out is weakened including yours.
hope this helps it's only my own experiences...

IMO it is OK to put an outbound link less than 25. It does not devalue the link and it does not look like a mess for resource page.

i do agree with fire_lady, me i limit my outbound to just 30. i think having a 20-30 outbounds doesnt look like a link farm to me :)

add many outbound link(offcourse w/ a recprocal link) as long as it is related to your site and will help your website visitors to surf other websites. just be aware of link farms :D

I second to that and besides your visitors and exchange partners might think that your resource page is a useless page with a bunch of links. :D

Google has stated again and again in its website guidelines: Design your page for visitors, and not for search engines.
Going by this guidelines, I will reasonably assume that you can place as many links as you like, provided that it is of a reasonable amount to a visitor. That means around 15 maximum going by my site design.

In my opinion 10 links would be enough and fine!
Dont put too many outbound links as it will affect your site in search engine rankings and more obvious your PR will reduce.
Try to get more backlinks instead of outbound links.
@ pkchukiss, absolutely correct..... the more visitors come to your site, the more referral urls and links, your PR will increase!
