My forums are regularly crawled by Google spiders. But they ony index the forum index & 1 archive page. I recently added myfaqphp to my site & google has indexed 30 pages of that no problem. MSN has all my pages indexed (about 1700). I have submitted a google site map.
Is there any reason why pages within the forum are not getting indexed..BTW I do not have robots restricted & guests are allow browse the forum.
I'd be grateful for any ideas

Just a bit of an update on this..Google is Indexing some pages but after a day or 2 it drops back to 5 pages.(These are ole & a couple of these pages don't even exist any more) Last week end there were 83 pages listed. On Monday ios was back to the old 5. Yesterday there were 61 pages listed, today its back to the same 5.. Anyone any Ideas??

In my experience this is typical behavior of google in the sense of indexing. Google now runs bot's none stop now days. The fresh dates we see now days are evidence of this and verified by a google engineer(matt cutts).
Maybe just give it a bit I do not think we have had a deep crawl recently so it may be just around the corner before all of your pages are indexed. And as always google bot's love to follow links. If you have particular pages you want indexed sooner I would suggest linking directly to them from a page that is already indexed and maybe this will hasten your wait time.

There has been some sort of dance going on. Some say it's a PR update. Could be I dunno. But the point is, stats and positions and PR and backlinks have been all over the place.
I think there is some kind of BigDaddy sync going on and nothing more. But I'm no expert.

It has me baffeled... yesterday it was showing 122 pages. Today its back to the old 5. When it does show more page the number is increasing all the time.. That has to be a good sign anyway..
