I used it for a while..Its crap. Traffic swarm is full of get rich quick spam.the only hits you get are from these site owners looking to build up thier credits. So they will stay on your home page for the minimum 15 seconds.

Thanks for the tip ~beller

if it's not targeted traffic to what my site offers I won't bother.

yep beller is right, there are many ways to get traffic for your site. Beside from using those kind of sites.
You can create press release, articles and blogs. This is the best way you can get targetted traffic for your site.
If you want i can give you a list of press release and article sites you can submit too, just give me your email ok and ill send it to you

How about those software for traffic building..... would that be effective?
aside from submitting articles and press release, what are the other ways to improve the traffic?

You should not try to use those services.I suggest i.e. to promote your site to some other webmaster forum.Because if you will use that service it will be only temporary. And everyone here is looking for long term traffic.:)

IMO it is ok to use link exchange systems. I'm using linkmetro.com. It can help you find link exchange partner much easier but don't depend on it. You can also do article and directory submissions and blogs. Good luck on your quest in getting more traffic.

Is it ok to find a site with low PageRank but it is related to your site?

In my point of yes it is OK. It is still considered a backlink right. As long as it is not banned or a site with a bad reputation.

yep i do agree with fire_lady, google now give more points to related link exchange.
google now give less importance to unrelated link exchange :)

Traffic sites are useful only for driving large amounts of hits to your website, possibly grab some eyeballs for the 15 or 30 seconds it is compulsory to stay on your web page, and then quickly move on to the next one to earn their credits.

You spend the money for the bandwidth output, money to these traffic sites, and will not get very much in return, simply because the visitors are not in the "spending mood". Rather, if you are aiming to get something sold, it would be better to target search engine result pages (SERPs), by joining Google's AdWords for Search, or Yahoo's paid listings with specific keywords only people with their minds focused on buying the product will search for.
