Please bear with me as I am the owner of the site with limited knowledge

I am trying to look at the following:

1. An automatic welcome PM or Email that we can amend and put some text in

2. any good hacks that you can recommend to me that will make the forum livlier

Many thanks

Simon,

The Auto Welcome PM is available here (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91729).

Take a look over on vbulletin.org for a plethora of hacks for your vB forum.

Have you ensured that you have used the same email address for your vB.org user account as the one you used when you purchased vB?

No I had this problem on vb.com

I changed my email addy in my user cp on vb.com to the same as in my member area and I have changed it to the same addy on .org and nothing has happened

I have held one since 2002 and once since 2004 and they are both owned

Yes, but vbulletin.org has no way of knowing that, thats why u have to verify your lisence #, or use the same Email as you did with Vb.Com

Well, I was putting together a list of hacks I intend to install on my new vB forum I'll be launching in the next 2 weeks (if all goes right that is :o). Its fairly in depth, so it might help you. You can check it out here (http://best-board.com/showthread.php?t=2537).

Thats one massive listYeah, Don't you have to re-install or do some type of maintenance to hacks when upgrading vb versions? Seems vb comes out with an upgrade/update every few months.

gprime: That list looks like it could be may be a nightmare to maintain updates huh.

If you mean vB updates, then it would a pain, which is why I'd probably patch between major releases.
