I had to create a new field that forced people to pick a UK county where they live on a drop down menu ...

I can remember doing this some time ago where it forced people to re-do this when they logged in therefore meaning that it will function .. at the moment it only makes new people do this

Does anyone have any ideas?

This hack (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=82756) forces current members to fill out newly required fields.
