I submitted a domain about a month ago and has not shown up yet in the directory. :( How often can you re-submit there? Will they penalize you if you submit to often?

Submit to dmoz how oftenSusan 02-25-2006, 10:16 AM I submitted a domain about a month ago and has not shown up yet in the directory. :( How often can you re-submit there? Will they penalize you if you submit to often? noppid 02-25-2006, 10:53 AM You don't want to resubmit. One month is not a long time to wait and inclusion is not guaranteed unfortunatly. http://dmoz.com/help/submit.html How long does it take for my site to be listed in the ODP? Depending on the activity level of the editors in your area, it may take up to 2 weeks or more for your site to be reviewed. While the ODP is comprehensive in scope and coverage, we care a great deal about the quality of the ODP, and pride ourselves on being highly selective. We don't accept all sites, so please don't take it personally should your site not be accepted. Our goal is to make the directory as useful as possible for our users, not to have the directory include all (or even most) of the sites that could possibly be listed or serve as a promotional tool for the entities listed. boohlick 03-08-2006, 02:27 AM Well Susan, it coulld takes weeks, months and even years. When it comes to DMOZ i just submit and forget. JUst let it be if they listed your site then say thanks if not then say thanks also.. There are many things you can do other than waiting for an inclusion in DMOZ :) que 03-08-2006, 02:10 PM I will share a little secret....sheee When you submit wait two weeks or so. Re-visit the directory you submitted. Note the Category editor email at the bottom of the page and send them a friendly email. Perhaps, Hello: I have submitted my site to your directory. Please let me know if you need additional information about our company. I have learned if you have any type of e-business site they want to see some type of way a customer could contact you, primarily a mailing address, phone..on your site somewhere. Also if the category you added to does not have an editor you may wish to email the editor in the category above...This has worked for me twice over the last 2-3 years but I can't gaurantee it will work for you. Good Luck;) MHJ 05-21-2006, 03:00 PM You may try resubmitting under a different or heading or name. Is that allowed? | |
