I got through about 5 or 10 minutes worth.

I heard absolutly nothing that interested me. In fact some of the comments were just plain wrong.

The interviewer has a good voice and seems to know where he wants to go, but that is the only thing this has going for it.

I didn't hear that vB is great because I can do this or that and as a result get something which is good. I heard how cool vB is though. vB is easier to install because of the plugin system? How is that? Did you mean easier to hack? Quality of information will be important.

I heard Jelsoft ass kissing. Come on guys, be honest. They are far from the god's you made them out to be. And I had to laugh when you point out other boards copy vB. One of the vB teams interviews reveals that they actaully copied other boards to start out. You should know your topic better if you plan on being an authority.

Who invited Bevis into the studio? That giggling was annoying.

Needs alot of polish to be taken seriously. Perhaps this can serve as a platform to see who really is a professional or not. Now you can hear someone before hiring them if you carry on as planned objectively and interview the real players in the vB community, not just your buds.

Good luck. Ya got a good idea here.

Quality is always in regard however we also have to think about time. We cant have a 2 hour show. Honestly, we were all nervous doing our first cast. It will get better and we will touch topics more indepth as the show goes on. This was our first show so we had to cram two casts into one with the interview/ hotm/ botm. Listen to the whole vbcast and let us know what you think of the rest.

I admire you putting your first on the table knowing there is room for improvement. I have an interview to do and I learned alot about what to say and not say, I think, after listening.

I'll try and listen to the rest. I'll be interested in your future publications as well. Like I said, nice idea.

Yeah, we are trying not to take it too serious and just have some fun with it. The others seemed to lighten up further into the podcast.

Btw were you referring to me as having a good voice? If so thanks! :)

If you are the narrator, then yes. You sounded like you were comfortable and knew what direction to take the converstion and for the most part when.

I've done radio and find myself in front of an audiance one and a while. It's not easy. Have you done this before?

No, I have never done this before actually. I have often wanted to do an AM talk radio station before. Do you do AM or dj for an fm?

I DJ'd an FM Stereo Station my cousin financed. Long story, bad ending, great experience.

But I've been able to sing and speak in front of an audiance for a long time. I'm just a ham I guess.

I took a communications class once that I hated. But I have to admit, that one class (full year) has benefited me more on the internet then my programming skills. It included writing copy and public speaking.

One my first day in my first class ( communications ) in college, I had to get up in front of everyone ( a bunch of strangers ) and give a 5 minute speak about myself unprepared.....

I almost died that die, but turns out it went well and I made a lot of friends.

I thought about applying for a local dj postion but was shocked to find out how little they make.... Much like the poor people that work at the new station they make very little.... yikes...

Corrie - I agree with Greg, you do have a good 'radio' voice. I too have done a fair bit of live radio stuff, interviews, TV and the like, and it's not easy. I once featured on a local BBC radio station as their regular www guru. I am from Wales and they nicknamed me the Welsh Web Wizard... phah!!! what a laff that was.

I made a few suggestions in a post on vbhackers.
