Weird Nations - A Weird Forum...

This is my most established forum at present, Weird Nations. (http://weirdnations.com) - it was originally 2 phpbb forums for my Weird England (http://weirdengland.com) and Weird Wales (http://weirdwales.co.uk) sites. Deciding the scope of those original 2 forums was too narrow to be sustainable, I melded them into one and made the scope international.

That was the end of February, very slowly the members are growing. Hopefully one day it will get busy enough to sustain itself, but currently I'm augmenting it with some posting services. I'm just trying to get my new one off the ground, but it's very new and a bit unfinshed as yet.

My Irish friends always warned me that, if I ever went over to Ireland, never to kiss the Blarney Stone. Apparently, the teenagers think it's great fun to urinate and spit on it, knowing that this is where some tourist is going to plant their lips.



if they could urinate on it I'd be amazed, its about 200 foot up on the outside of the castle wall. That's one hell of a reach!

Thats classic...Its all locked up but I would be more worried about the fact that people put their lips on it and it only gets a wipe of a rag once in a while

Hi SarahK - thank you, just looking through the site in your sig. Very interesting - I use MagpieRSS on another site - I was thinking of using it to do the same with the forum. I'm already using the Javascript external data on a site from the forum - but it doesn't work very well.

I was wondering if you know of a way that you can add parameters to the rss feed so as it only picks up the latest posts in certain forums? Is there parameter I can add to the end of http://weirdnations.com/external.php which will make the feed only pull from certain forums?

Any help appreciated. :)
