Do you guys think its worth to pay for advertising, or traffic, or forum boosting?
Post your thoughts!

No. It isn't real traffic, and you won't make money of forum boosting of traffic ad buys because they won't click on adverts or write posts. Advertising using google and other forums on the same scheme as yours is a safe bet

Thanks

I suppose your right, but often these paid-to-post schemes have people posting complete BS. The best system is to advertise using google or yahoo or using SEO tactics on specific keywords

Thanks

Paying for traffic? If you're talking about "high quality targetted traffic" like you might get with an "Effective" Adwords campaign then I would say "yes".

Forum boosting? I've hired multiple companies in the past and I couldn't recommend a one of them. This has led me to consider this avenue a dead end.

Forum boosting can be effective, if the writers are knowledgeable.

I think it might be a good idea to post a lot of messags in news groups, and have your link as your sig file. If you can write good messages that start people talking, they may get curious and check out your site.

Complete BS you say, what do you usually see..complete spam, no knowledge of what their talking about. Well maybe you havent seen the of forum boosting i guess. I think that their assigned to forums that they "specialize" in if that has any meaning in this situation.

I've seen people sign on forums and make 50 posts of "ttt" with a signature ad lol

Well, thats just opening cans of spam. And probably, they get yelled at alot. I admit, i like being a spammer, getting those nice posts. Its fun to get ahead of everyone, but when it comes to paid work? I try my best NOT to spam, but its just like a second habit of mine.

Alright, I am going to come out and look like a dumb rump so that others will be warned who may not already know. I went to this forum boosters site, it promised 2000 hits OR 25 new posters for 10 bucks. I had ten bucks to kill, so I tried it.

I decided I wanted the 25 new posters, and after I got it I noticed the fine print. Not fine exactly but something I hadn't noticed before. They hire one person to be the 25 users.
Is it just me or is that a bad cheat. I know there are a lot of forum users that want numbers numbers numbers. But if 25 of your best writters are one ghost writer, whats the point? I could do that. I could have just signed up to my own site 25 times.

I've never heard of forum boosting. How does that work?

You hire posters to post in your forum thru a posting firm. Try forumbooster.net, you may open their site and take a look at their packages/price. They have good posters, too.
