Religious discussion

I've seen religion topics outlawed on a lot of forums because of their tendency to get ugly. I'm trying to decide on all the discussion areas and rules for them for the forum I am creating and I'm very on the fence about whether I should allow this or not.

Any opinions/suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm not usually in favor of restricting debate, but, you're right, religious discussions tend to get wacky. Just force everyone to convert to Pastafarianism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastafarianism) before joining. That'll fix the problem right up. :p

Do what I do, give your members a section on your forum where there is no moderation. This way here, thay can discuss all the bull**** that want......but only in that one section.

Be sure to state that they post at their own risk!!!!
