Things that make you wonder or say hummm

I'm sure there is something you have pondered over that you have seen or heard. How it happened, How it works or worse why it doesn't. Perhaps even stupid questions you have been asked.

I will start:
They occasionally allow college interns to work at the engineering company where I work. A new person started last week. While at the copier at the same time I ask who he was working for and I asked had he assigned you a task. Yes, he replied on Friday he drew a square on a piece of paper with some measurements length and width representing a office floor plan layout. He ask me to calculate what diameter rug we would need to have custom made. My reply was did you laugh? He looked at me and became ghost white and said no I'm still working on the calculation and I know he's going to be mad it has taken me 2 day's to figure it out. One of those hummm's - I suggested engineering may not be for him quite yet.

Why can't we tickle ourselves?

Why do I have to click 'start' on a windows pc to shut-down....

Why do you park in a driveway and drive in a parkway?

Well, when it comes to life, I'm a real thinker.
I think about how strange life is, and what life is, more than I actually live in it.

So of course I like to ask everyone this famous question:

If a tree falls, and no one is around to here it... Does it make a sound?
