I'm considering purchasing another vB license, I intend to make vB a forum tied in with a CMS.
I know there are a few around but what CMS has the best vB bridges? I hear Dupral's is pretty good but I'm not all that impressed with Dupral features.
Thanks

Drupal was hard for me to understand.
Most people seem to like vBA's CMPS addon.
Here lately, alot of people are going with the html webpage hack at .org. I've thought about dropping vBA cmps myself and installing the hack. Not only does it give you a front page, but you can use it internally as well.
I've heard that you can do the same thing with vBA, but I've never figured out how.
That said, give me something easy anyday ;)

Are you referring to having vBa create static pages (eg: www.thefloorpro.com/about.php or www.thefloorpro.com/reviews/ultimate_scraper_blades_review.php)? I have done that with vBa and can explain how if that's what you're talking about. Start a new thread. It'll be a short one. ;)

I'm sure it would be Jim, but I've seen what the webpage html hack can do on another forum that I moderate, and I really like it. IF I should decide to drop vBA, that'll be why
Cany you point to that please?

I tried the joomla/vb bridge recently and it didn't work.
The author said an update would be posted this week.
I have never heard the term "bridge" before. I think they are more commonly referred to as CMS' (Content Management Systems).

Jim, a bridge is what connects the CMS to something else like a forum, so people don't need 2 seperate logins.

I've always just called my cms the "front page". But bridge does it just as well

If you don't really need members to be able to post on the front page or CMS page then I'd recommend WordPress. I've been using it on one of my sites and love it!

I'm back again. I've seen a couple of vB dupral bridged forums and they integrated nicely. I'm working on another vB site. Took down the Homework site not enough time and I'm going to experiment with the bridge and see how it works.
I'll report back. :)

Joomla / Mambo bridges never worked for me. Find someone to do a custom hack or use vBAdvance. Other bridges didn't work for me.

There's also a Wordress/vB bridge available.
