site:www.vbulletin-faq.com
site:www.northeastbracketracing.com

Peggy 09-06-2006, 04:54 AM Google is broke :p
Elbow 09-06-2006, 05:05 AM haha
Noppid 09-06-2006, 08:57 AM The site command is broken according to Matt Cutts.
Google has been broken for a long time according to many webmasters.
minstrel 09-06-2006, 09:26 AM This just in: Elbow's signature photo is also broken...
Joeychgo 09-06-2006, 10:42 AM Results 1 - 10 of about 1,530,000 from www.lincolnvscadillac.com for . (0.68 seconds) -- works fine for site:www.lincolnvscadillac.com/

It's not showing in as many data centers as it was this morning, so maybe they're fixing it?
minstrel 09-06-2006, 11:06 AM The site: query was definitely "broken" for a good long time following Big Daddy, one of the few things Google actually admitted to... These days, it's semi-working again but the results are erratic.
For example, yesterday and the day before, site:forum.psychlinks.ca showed 80 results - today it shows 12, 300.
Peggy 09-06-2006, 11:16 AM My website site:vbImpressions.com shows 80 results today, yesterday was 45, lol
the forum, site:cbimpressions.com/forums shows 71, from 20 yesterday.
strange ;)
Noppid 09-06-2006, 11:19 AM Matt Cutts not only said don't get upset about supplemental as the site command is broken. He also said stop wasting your time comparing data center results and checking your stats every day because that is now very dymanic and will not be stable ever again if I understood correctly.
KW802 09-06-2006, 08:26 PM Lately I've been getting better results from MSN & Yahoo. I've lost my faith in Google. :(

Good to see you back KevinThe 'real world' caught me up for a while; I'm slowly getting back into my 'online' world again. :)

They can't even return the same domain on a site query. They should just remove the damn thing if they are not going to bother making it atleast semi accurate

That would be an adminssion of their incompetence. They would rather be evil and fake it then be honest. That is Matt Cutts job anyway, we wouldn't want him to be unemployed, or would we? :D
minstrel 09-07-2006, 09:56 AM I'm even getting garbage site and link data in my Google alerts now. It's truly pathetic.

I have felt for a long time, they are in the biz for the money they can cycle though adsense and adwords. This is the main reason they SERPs show garbage IMO. They are in the spam buisness and are hiding behind a previously good reputation and have to money to keep the spin going that that are not evil.
I disagree with that however. The more Matt Cutts repeats "do no evil" the more I'm convinced they are the evil ones. They have been caught in the past and will get caught again. It's just a matter of time.
