All I'll need to do is copy the current one and put it either below or above the current code and make the necessary changes in the same template, correct?
Or do I need to make a second template or something?

There's a hack at vb.org for a second navbar. It's the one I use on EE. I'll go get it and post it here.

On a side note I just discovered the DJRed skin that I use at my board has two navbars built in.. One in the navbar template & one in the header template.
I like it. I put register/user CP, vBPicGallery, Chat, & Arcade on the header and the rest of the stuff we rarely use on the navbar. :)
I have another nav bar question, but I'll make a new thread for it.
