I have read a little about the benefits of having one or more of your key words in your domain name to help with optimisation and improved SERPs

Does anyone have experience or evidience of this working?

Thanks

That's what everyone says.. The URL (filename & path) plays a part in ranking. Personally my blog sets writes my URLs at as: category/post name. When a spider looks at the file name, they get a better "idea" of what it's about.

It must be doing something right as I was getting decent rankings prior to Google screwing things up.
