Hi Everyone, i have ibporarcade installed and my members love it...i'd like to ad more games.
I found some that are a.tar file BUT they do not have any intrux on how to install.
3 ??s:
1. how to install?
2. any other good sites to download free games?
3. any super games that are "must haves"

I have a few sites, I'll list them in a minute.
As for installing....
Open your ftp client, and go to your forums/arcade folder. Click on arcade and you should see a tar folder and a zip folder.
Upload your games' zip file... yes, the ZIP file, into the tar folder.
Close your ftp client, and go into your acp --> arcade --> add game.
Scroll down to where it says Install via a TAR archive (for ibProArcade Games) and you should see all of your games listed there. Click on the install link next to each one and it will install for you.
If you have your games set up in categories, you'll have to go through each one and move it to the category of your choice. Also, if you have vbPlaza, you'll need to set the cost, payout, etc for each game as well.

I have a bunch of games in a tar floating around somewhere. It has the tar packages of about 50 games. I've installed all of them on my board and as far as I know (no complaints from members) they all work.
If you would like them.. I'll put them up and post a link barring it being against the TOS here. :)

The Big 7 (http://games.thebig7.com) - you must register and make, I think, 6 or 7 posts. Then you're given a password to the download area. But it's worth the trouble... you'll find hundreds of games!!

HA.. Danny taught me about that. I was installing them one by one..... soooooo... sloowwwww... ugh.
Now it's a breeze :D

Don't expect to go there, and just start downloading.
They will first require you verify your website before you can dl.
Also they have a neat lil section where they will convert Flash games
to make them compatible with ibarcade....Check'em out. ;)

I've gotten games from them as well. Unless they've changed the rules, you have to make so many posts before you can download a game, then you can d/l only 5 per day, until you make so many more posts.
They have some good games though
