New Toolbar PageRanks visible (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/new-toolbar-pageranks-visible/)
By Matt Cutts on Google/SEO

Roughly every 3-4 months we take a snapshot of PageRank values and export them so that the new values are visible in the Google Toolbar. I believe that another set of PageRanks started going out on Friday. New PageRanks are visible at many data centers, but not at every data center. Why not at every data center? Because some data centers are using a slightly older infrastructure for a few query types that are off the beaten path a bit (info:, link:, toolbar PageRank queries, etc.).

...and the site: query now perhaps?

Minstrel, how likely do you think that it will never be fixed, considering many things google doesnt like, such as sitewide links, are partially sold by the number of indexed pages?

I don't think it will ever again show accurate results. Only webmasters care and Google isn't interested in helping webmasters.

I agree. Google was interested in webmasters at one point, but now, doesnt need us.

So the results that show at the moment when you enter site:www.mysite.com would that result be old? would google actually have more pages than that indexed?
My site only shows 60 pages all the time now, even though I have 1000s indes in MSN YAHOO etc.. isthere any way to get an idea of how many pages a site would have indexed in Google?

Hello beller, I believe this has been discussed earlier, and the concensus was that in the actual state of google there is no accurate way of telling how many pages you have indexed by them.

That is what I was wondering.. If in my case it shows 60 pages is it more that likely that there are more than that number of pages indexed.

Or they could be less. There is no real way to know it. Besides, with this "updates" google can drop some indexed pages too, and recover old unexistent ones. It just happened to me, the most popular article on my site is nowhere to be seen in google indices, and just last week it was one of the top entrances to my site. It's disheartening sometimes.
