Dealing with forum spam

Just thought I'd let you know I've written up an article on forum spam here:

What I would like to get is some feedback on useful tips and tricks I can add to this, and help keep it a work in progress.

Do you know if the post limit modification has been upgraded for version 3.6x?

No idea, I'm afraid - I haven't upgraded anything to 3.6 yet, because most of my forums were running vbseo, which I think had some initial problems with it.

However, I should be upgrading a couple over the next few days so I'll let you know what I find out. :)
