I redesigned a site recently (schooloftheworld.org). While cleaning up the server, I found all sorts of bad pages and relics of seo gone wrong. Its all gone now.. but I am wondering if there is any way to check if the engines have a grudge against the site.

It seems that yahoo has reindexed the site while google has a disgraceful listing of older results that havent resolved for over a month.

I am in the process of using gSiteCrawler to make me a sitemap.. and I am going to submit it of course...

I might be wrong, but I believe that if you're blacklisted they remove the SERP's. So if you're still showing up in google you're not blacklisted. The old pages must be remnants, and with the status of google they might stay that way. Submitting a sitemap could help, but don't take this for granted. Work your SEO the right way and the new results should replace the old ones eventually.

Google has been showing old outdated extinct pages as indexed ever since Big Daddy so it's difficult to tell what is going on with a site at the moment. However, I think Hell3 is on the right track - if Google is showing anything from the site in its index, you're not banned.

I also think Hell3 is on the right track - if Google is showing anything from the site in its index, you're not banned. Indexed pages have to be in the serps somewhere -
