Zoints Forumban - Automated banning of users from a single forum

Please be sure to download the correct attachment based upon the version of vBulletin you are running

1.3.0 = vBulletin 3.6.x
1.3.0-3.5 = vBulletin 3.5.x

This modification allows staff to ban users from a single forum for a specified time period. Once banned, the user is automatically notified via private message. When the time period is up, the user is automatically unbanned from the forum and sent a PM notifying them of this fact.

A simple "forumban user" link is added to the user options in the admincp.

And there you are presented with the forumban system. From that point, it's all automated :cool:

And in vbulletin options > Zoints forumban options:

Interesting. I can't think of a use for this on my forum, to be honest, but it might be very handy on certain forums where debates get heated (e.g., DigitalPoint politics and religion threads) as an alternative to banning the individual from the entire board.

Exactly my thinking. I have a politics forum on LVC and this could be helpful there...

Perhaps consider making the variable "user" into "username" for consistency purposes?

(I've avoided using the { } as it might trigger a mod here :D )
