Due to increased traffic to vBulletin.com, vBulletin.org and the other sites hosted on this server, it has become necessary to move to a new and more powerful system. We plan to perform this move...

I wonder what that "new powerful system" is? Do you think they're finally upgrading from OS/2?

I can't say I've noticed any problems with outages on those sites, though - admittedly, I'm a recent convert to vBulletin.

They haven't had too much downtime, but they have had some. Like when 3.6 went gold. lol... they had to close the org for a few hours due to the server load, everyone downloading 3.6.0

I would hope so.

My personal opinion is that they should have either a mirror server setup, or have vb.org and vb.com on different servers. This way both are not down at the same time.

Agree ... imho they are way too often down ... I cannot reach them at least once a week .. although this might caused by my ISP (DNS issue) ..

Fantastic. A company the size of v Bulleitn shoudnt have frequent outages like it has. Im glad to see the powers that be recognized that and finally took action.
