Microsoft has launched an Add-Ons for Internet Explorer (http://www.ieaddons.com/default.aspx?cid=home&scid=0) site for IE 7-specific "plug-ins" that fall into the categories of "Security," "Time Savers," "Browsers" and "Entertainment."

That is not strictly true. The site has been up since the launch of the beta series of IE7.
I have used it may times. Notice their "Try the Beta" link, needs updating.
