This is so reminiscent of phpBB days....patch, update, patch, patch, update, patch.........

But the process for updating is way easier in vbulletin, and I prefer they patch this security issues as soon as posible than having to wait for a fix with an insecure board. Off to download.

I agree, Hell3. This was another seamless upgrade. I didn't have to edit or re-customize anything at all.

i upgraded all mine... went very smooth... why all these upgrades? did they make a mistake between versions to open up the security risk? or is it a new development because the web is changing? they are running out of numbers :D

First, accept it as a given that ALL software has some vulnerabilities. Just be thankful that vBulletin is alert to this and acts quickly to issue an update when a new one is discovered.
It's not like applying the updates is an arduous task. I don't know how they could make it any easier, in most cases.

My comment was more of a rant than any serious bitching... I agree about the ease of updates... I'd much rather have to reapply customs to templates than spend hours diff'ing out files from phpBB trying not to break anything (which only worked sometimes). On the plus side total update time is 3 mins from 3.6.3 to .4, inlcuding downloading the source, no templates to revert :) I'm still a happy camper.

I just had to edit one template, newreply, since I have Andreas mod for preventing replies in old threads. Other than that, smooth sailing.
