Not sure if this has been done yet in another hack or mod. I would like to have an automated new thread posted for each new user who registers. Similar to the welcome email, the new thread would welcome them to the forum with something like "Forumname welcomes John User who has just joined". Currently I have a forum for introducing yourself but more than half who join never end up posting anything. I think this would really kick start some new members who are reluctant to post for the first time, especially if they see their name in the title of the newest thread.
As mentioned, if this has been done before please point me in the right direction. I'm running 3.6.4 in case that makes a difference.
