Sorry if there's already a thread floating about somewhere for this.......
I'm wanting to replace the small icons which are seen beside forums to show whether or not there are any new posts. Atm I'm using the vb defualt ones which, quite frankly, are a bit uninspring! lol
Can anyone point me in the direction of such things? Thanks. :)

I replaced the "no new posts" with a blank, transparent GIF. Then I replaced the "new posts" with a graphic based on my company logo. A much cleaner look, I think... I prefer not having a logo that signifies "nothing".
As to how, there is probably an image path in your ACP to edit: I took the easy way and replaced the default images with new ones of the same name.

that's probably the approach i'd take too.
just wondered if anyone knew of any resources for that sort of thing.

ahd yes ohio, that's what i mean. i'm not sure exactly when i'm looking for tho, design-wise, that's the trouble! lol
another reason for being able to look at other people's designs! ;)
Thomas - the only thing with that is when your site is viewed by a guest, there are no new posts indicated!! All the statusicon areas are blank.

John - that really doesn't bother me, though. Most guests, according to my logs, hit the site via a search engine, and typically land right on the thread returned by the search. They read it, get what they need, and move on. The trick is to compell them to stay and join, but the statusicons aren't really a factor one way or another.
