Trusted source for Spyware advice...

Well, would you beleive it... for the first time in 3 years I seem to have picked up some form of SpyWare on my laptop, and the only place I have been recently that I can think of where I may have picked this up from is a site listed on eBay!!

Last night, after searching for details of a BMW Z3 which I am looking to purchase soon, I visited a site listed, followed a few links and then noticed a lot of disk activity going on, then my desktop background wallpaper changed and I thought oOo... it seemed I picked up the notorious SpySheriff malware.

I have done several things advised after visiting a few 'how to remove spy sheriff' sites, yet I am not 100% convinced that I have rid of this pest.

I usually use Mike Cerak's site here - http://www.techguy.org/ (another excellent and huge vB site) for my support queries, but this site is currently down for backups (back in 20 mins) - however, I want to sort this now.

Does anyone have any other trusted IT support sites that they may have been a member of for a long enough time to recommend the site to us here?
