How to line up your header/logo with your forum

To make your header/logo line up with your forum you will need to do the following.

Edit this template:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Common Templates (in the menu) -> header

Find:

<!-- content table -->
$spacer_open

move it above this:

(!-- logo --) change the ( and ) to < and >
<!-- logo -->

I have attached a sample for you to see what I mean. Your header will not be any wider than your forum is. The arrows in the attached picture show what I mean.

Thanks. This helped me figure out what those two variables mean for integration into my website's design.

Hey that my logo..lol

Yeah :D after showing you how to do it I figured might as well make a tutorial for it. I was on your forum when I thought of it. Hope that is OK I used the edge of your header.

What do you mean? Move it above what? :confused: :confused:
The code box shows nothing.

Yep, same here. I can see $spacer_open but the code box is blank. :confused:

I'm confused, are you saying this (!-- logo --) gets changed to this: < and > around the word logo instead?

Because I've tried this and cant get it centered yet.

Yes that is correct.

Well, as you can see in my attached text file (above post), I have done everything correct, yet my logo is not aligned properly, can you think of any reasons why it would not be working for me?

Copy and paste your entire header template code into a text document for me and I will have a look for you.

Here you go, and thank you!!!

Here this should do it for you. Just copy and paste this back into your header template replacing what is in there. Make sure to backup that template first in case something goes wrong.
