Images near Adsense ads - still ok?

Anyone out there still using images near your adsense ads? I've been out of the loop for a bit and wonder if this is still ok? Last I knew you could use them as long as you had a visible border between the images and the ads.

If in doubt contact google and ask them about your layout, the way I understand it's still a tricky gray area at times.
