problem in GD library

hi ..

Problem in Image Processing Library in ACP it's not showing any Verification Image and not showing
thumbnails in the forum ..in update counters i hit Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails

it says :
Your version of PHP does not have image support. Please make sure you have enabled GD if your server does support it by going to Options -> vBulletin Options -> Image Settings

it shows thumbnails only if i chosed (GD Simple Font) ..and iam concern about what is written there (We do not recommend using the Simple Font option) .. can any body give ideas how to solve this problem or what it could be .

it showes small [x] box in:
*Image Verification Library
*Image Verification
*Guest Post Image Verification
*Guest Search Image Verification

The only reason why vB doesn't advise using simple font is because it makes it easier for bots to "read"

You can leave it on simple font, just keep a better eye out for spammers is all.

thanx bro for advice..but the problem still not solved for .
chosing simple font will solve the thumbnails showing only .

for time beeing i disabled it (iamge verifications option) .

I would contact your host. Ask them to look into updating the PHP. They will be the ones to fix this.

Or, they can give you the path to ImageMagic library in case they have it installed, It works as well as GD and in some cases even better.

Yup, I use ImageMagik myself. On most servers the path is /usr/bin or /usr/lib Give them try in the vB settings.

i used /user/bin as a path to the ImageMagick 6 binaries & it's worked ...thanx (Danny Boy) hats off

well i got the same problem in here and its still not workin'

maybe i have a problem with a template or a code i guess =S

If you are sure your host is giving GD support and it's not working then you'd better open a support ticket in vbulletin.com with all the possible details.
