vBulletin.org has been shut down most of the day today, and we're starting to see why.

For starters - A new look - and a new name? See the screenshot below

Stay tuned for more changes - but it looks like vb.org is on the track toward a new and better functionality for vBulletin forum owners!

I was there a little while ago.... love the new look.
I can't wait to see the changes that may come out of this

Once you set a few options for how you like it, it's different again.

I prefer the green, and this is how that looks.

I, for one, like it very much. I hope some of the mods could be released to the public. That mod with the posting rules on the quick reply box is very nifty.

and I chose the rum red... I love red, so was very happy to see that
AND happier still that you can choose between postbits and fixed or fluid.

Quite a change

on a side note.... good grief Paul, you had almost as many browser windows open on that screenshot as I do!

It looks awesome, I had to play around with all the styles and fixed vs. fluid. I settled on green fluid. All of them look great though.

ordinarily green is one of my favorite colors... but the rum red is awesomeIt was a close run thing, I have the red on our development forum, and the purple on my local dev copy. The only one left (the default blue) I'm not keen on. :)

Yes, I had a lot of windows open at that time, I was still working on minor site issues at the time (came here for a 5 minute break ;))

I'm not too keen on the blue either. Too much blue around vB lol

I liked the old design, thought it was much better. But oh well, it looks nice. :)

New design is a refreshing change. I like it.
Notice they have reverted to the original site name in the header. VBULLETIN.ORG and not VBULLETIN MODS

Probably got so many complaints they had to. Noone liked it, plus, the domain wasn't available in any form... .com, .net, .org.... nothing.

If the name was going to be changed, which wouldnt make sense to me - the domains should have been secured first - like www.vbulletinmods.org (http://www.vbulletinmods.org) -- Ooops

There were never any plans to change the name, otherwise we would have bought the domain(s), since all except .com were free.
