Joeychgo 01-07-2007, 03:36 PM vBulletin.org has been shut down most of the day today, and we're starting to see why.
For starters - A new look - and a new name? See the screenshot below
Stay tuned for more changes - but it looks like vb.org is on the track toward a new and better functionality for vBulletin forum owners!
Peggy 01-07-2007, 04:03 PM I was there a little while ago.... love the new look.
I can't wait to see the changes that may come out of this
Paul M 01-07-2007, 06:39 PM Once you set a few options for how you like it, it's different again.
I prefer the green, and this is how that looks.
Hell³ 01-07-2007, 06:50 PM I, for one, like it very much. I hope some of the mods could be released to the public. That mod with the posting rules on the quick reply box is very nifty.

and I chose the rum red... I love red, so was very happy to see that
AND happier still that you can choose between postbits and fixed or fluid.
Quite a change
on a side note.... good grief Paul, you had almost as many browser windows open on that screenshot as I do!
Joeychgo 01-08-2007, 12:40 AM I prefer the green, and this is how that looks.
I love the green - THAT is hot! Paul - let Marco and everyone else know -- My hat's off to them and you.. Great job.
Peggy 01-08-2007, 12:52 AM ordinarily green is one of my favorite colors... but the rum red is awesome
Big Dan 01-08-2007, 05:22 AM It looks awesome, I had to play around with all the styles and fixed vs. fluid. I settled on green fluid. All of them look great though.
Paul M 01-08-2007, 09:47 PM ordinarily green is one of my favorite colors... but the rum red is awesomeIt was a close run thing, I have the red on our development forum, and the purple on my local dev copy. The only one left (the default blue) I'm not keen on. :)
Yes, I had a lot of windows open at that time, I was still working on minor site issues at the time (came here for a 5 minute break ;))
Peggy 01-09-2007, 04:21 AM I'm not too keen on the blue either. Too much blue around vB lol
Mr. J Jones 01-10-2007, 11:27 AM I liked the old design, thought it was much better. But oh well, it looks nice. :)
protoss 01-11-2007, 04:48 AM New design is a refreshing change. I like it.
Notice they have reverted to the original site name in the header. VBULLETIN.ORG and not VBULLETIN MODS
Peggy 01-11-2007, 05:07 AM Probably got so many complaints they had to. Noone liked it, plus, the domain wasn't available in any form... .com, .net, .org.... nothing.
Paul M 01-12-2007, 01:17 AM Please ..... Suggestions, not complaints ... ;)

Rofl!
If the name was going to be changed, which wouldnt make sense to me - the domains should have been secured first - like www.vbulletinmods.org (http://www.vbulletinmods.org) -- Ooops
Peggy 01-12-2007, 04:26 AM You're bad....
SteveAR 01-12-2007, 09:29 PM Rofl!

ouch but i dont see them changing the name. that wouldnt make sense. good grab tho
Paul M 01-13-2007, 01:32 AM There were never any plans to change the name, otherwise we would have bought the domain(s), since all except .com were free.
