I want to try setting up vBulletin on my Linux box, to practice admin and setup. This is my first time doing the full setup myself, I have always used the host to setup the DB.

So here is my question. I have apache, mySQL, php5 & phpMyAdmin installed. I also have the necessary modules with mySQL, PHP, and apache..

This is my first time setting up a database and if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great!

Thanks!

Hmmmm --- without a control panel, im not sure how to tell you to do it. Normally, yuo would create a database in your control panel, and just tell vBulletin the name, username and password of the databse. This is done in the config.php file.

But im not sure how to do this in your current setup. Very few people try what your trying.
