Given that their share of search is so small is it worth doing anything to my site to optimise for Yahoo?

Yahoo and MSN seem to rely a bit more on on-page indicators (probably because Google owns the patents to do with link-based ranking) so if you have strong content and well optimized with H and B tags, proper titles etc. you should find yourself doing well in Yahoo.

Although they have less to the search market, they still have a good amount of traffic using their search engine. So I would say that its worth the effort as the more traffic you get the better.
