just wondering why your not using the rep system here ?
I never really cared for it, and I don't run it on any of my sites.. but I'd like to know why its not being used here, and would you consider using it.
thanks

Basically the same reason. Ive never liked it, and dont use it on any of my sites. On many sites, it can be the start of fights.

I don't use it on my sites either. However, since I sold EE, they're enabled it.

Great topic, I've been needing some information about the reputation system. We want to implement this on my forum, however I'm not exactly sure how to set it up so all members can view others reputation and comments.
A moderator on my board linked me to phpBB forum which had a rep hack installed that did this, it looks awesome, and would help quell some problems that have been cropping on my board.

By default Reputation is viewable by all registered users, A rep points # has to be added to your postbit template manually, the variable is $post['reputation'] IIRC. To set rep comments viewable you have to do it in the usergroup options.
Edit: As any other user based "rating" system, it is somewhat exploitable, check the default settings on this system on your vbulletin options, every setting is more or less self-explained, so tweak them as you see fit.

Thanks Hell. I was talking about having others users see your reputation when your profile is viewed. On a forum with Rep enabled, you can see rep comments in your User CP but other users cannot.

Oh boy do I know. Some of my guys cannot even handle the "Thanks Button". I tell ya DJs are a rough bunch. :p
