Admin Attachment Issue: need advice please

Ok, here's a weird one, but I guess I am simply missing something straightforward eh!

So, I am an admin, yet when I try to attach an image to a thread (80K and within the attachment type restrictions) I see the error in the attachment window that states I have esxceeded my attachment quota.

So, I go to admin usergroup and I see that I have a '0' set as maximum value which means there is no limit to what I can upload. I also set the attachment options as custom for this file type for admins to a value well above what I am uploading... weird eh!

What's going on here? what have I missed? How do I amend my quota?

Well yikes, and I thought it was just my forum. I'm having this same problem on Themes By Design, John.

I have a couple of regular, contributing members and just within the past 3 weeks, when either of them try to upload something, they get the error that they've exceeded their upload quota.... which just happens to be the exact same size of the attachment they're trying to upload?!

I'm stumped, frankly. I've been through all of the settings and nothing works. Asked at .com and got told to do what I had stated in my post that I've already done.

morons...

OK, thanks Peggy. I guess I shall submit a support ticket to vB then and see if I get a better response.

I'll let you know...

Peggy - are you also a member of another usergroup that perhaps has a smaller quota?

It worked for me :)

nope I checked all of that - noone is in a secondary usergroup on my forum.

Set the admins attachment quota in User Group settings to "0" :)

Danny, John's was and mine is, set to "0" ;)

So, I go to admin usergroup and I see that I have a '0' set as maximum value which means there is no limit to what I can upload. I also set the attachment options as custom for this file type for admins to a value well above what I am uploading... weird eh!

I should read things first huh? :D

That is strange, John. Are you running any 3rd party attachment hacks?

I checked, and know that I'm not running any... and noone at .com could help with the problem

Try deleting a few prior attachments. See if its really a quota problem... That will help narrow it down.

did that, too - it's not

What I posted fixed my issue i.e. as Admin I was a member of a few secondary groups that had a lower quota. As soon as I removed my membership of thoise all was sorted.
