Admin Troubles

What to do when as the admin you are no longer interested in your forum, don't want to give it away, and can't get a reasonable sale price for it?

Well, one option would be to find a partner...... Someone to act as admin for a share of the revenue.

Yeah, I agree, find someone who is interested in running the day to day side of things for you then maybe once it has become even more established you may find you are able to get a decent price for it?..

Lost interest? If it's not temporary, best to move on to other stuff and the quicker the better. Taking on a partner in a situation like this can only end in tears. They're hard enough to maintain at the best of times.

The only problem here is the gap between your perceived value and that of any prospective purchasers. Move them as far as you can, and accept that you need to move the rest of the way to meet them.

Lose your dead weight so that you can get on with your life.

Try to be interested in again. :) If you can't, find someone to take care.

Depends if the forum is popular. If it is, it would be a shame for the supporting members if you simply let it go, dropped it. Perhaps as others have said, find a partner or someone you can trust to run it for you. However if the forum is not attracting regular new members and visiting active members, then IMHO it would be better to drop it and move on.
