OK I just set up my new forum today www.disney-forums.com

I added my google adsense and noticed the ads were coming up appropriately but then I noticed one of the ads was titled "Are You Gay? - Take our free test"

Is there a way to censor certain words to stop google ads from appearing of that content?

Check your adsense control panel, I seem to remember there is a way to prevent ads that could be from competing sites or inadequate for your intended audience.

Edit:

Competitive Ad Filter

The Competitive Ad Filter enables you to block specific ads, such as competitors' ads, from appearing on your pages.
In the field provided, list URLs of sites whose ads you want to filter from your pages. Then click Save changes. Changes will take effect within a few hours.
Please do not click on your own ads to determine the destination URL, as this is a violation of our program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies). To determine the URL to filter, please see review our Competitive Ad Filter Guide (https://www.google.com/adsense/urlfilter#finding).
