URL QuestionGreg 03-25-2007, 09:24 AM How do I get my forum page URL to look like this: www.example.com/ instead of: www.example.com/forum/ WhaLberg 03-25-2007, 09:59 AM By uploading/moving the folders and files of vBulletin to your public_html or httpdocs (up to your panel) Greg 03-25-2007, 10:05 AM I suspected I had to do something like this. Can you give me any more details/info so I dont destroy my site when attempting to do this? My FTP is SmartFTP WhaLberg 03-25-2007, 10:11 AM 1) Extract the vBulletin file and get into the folder upload. 2) Select and copy them all. 3) Go to ftp and open your public_html (or httpdocs, it's up to your panel) and paste them all there. If you have your forums running in /forums/ folder: 1) Go to your AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details 2) After changing your url, open your ftp client. 3) Move everything in /forum/ to public_html (or httpdocs) That's all. Greg 03-25-2007, 10:20 AM Ok, thanks - I will try it Greg WhaLberg 03-25-2007, 11:39 AM Let me know the result. Greg 03-25-2007, 03:45 PM Well, it worked, but I had to change all the image paths in the admin panel. Joeychgo 03-25-2007, 03:53 PM Thats because they are no longer in the forums directory... | |
