One more arcade (legal) issue

Would it be illegal if I added games like Metal Slug to my arcade, if I could find them?

Like, roms from emulators and things like that. Is that illegal? I'd love to add Metal Slug, but I don't want to get sued for it :P

Thanks in advanced. Sorry to keep bugging you guys ^_^

If it is available for download, then I would hope that the person offering the download got permission from whoever they needed to get permission from.

Great. That's what I wanted to hear.

Oh, worst case scenario, somebody stumbles upon SoH, and adding these games turns out to be illegal...
Would I get warned, or automatically punished? XD

Thanks ^_^

I'm not a lawyer and can't speak to legal and not legal, but from my readings all I can say that the only problem seems to be that a lot of games get converted into flash games for the arcades without the original authors permission. You'll have to decide for yourself whether or not you can sleep at night with the possibility of installing such a game. I'd rate it about the same as downloading MP3's off of Napster or whatever not-itunes thing there is these days. ;)
